Missile Silo - Living Quarters
The living quarters are located in the North/South
quonset hut. There is one main bedroom,
a small bedroom/office, kitchen area, living room area and full
bathroom. Washer/Dryer/Range
connections have been added to the kitchen area, next to the kitchen
cabinets. A 50-gallon
electric hot water heater is located in a small closet in the bathroom.
There is a 10,000 BTU
air conditioner in the living room and kitchen. A 5,000 BTU air
conditioner is located in the main
bedroom. Electric heaters are used in each room during cold weather. The living
quarters area is
a total of 1,300 square feet. There is also
a 1,150 square foot shop area next
door to the living room
which includes fluorescent lighting and PVC air lines installed. The
photos below were taken shortly
after construction was complete.
